WATERPROOF BACKING
Waterproof backing is a TPU plastic material with fire retardant properties fused to the back of fabrics to provide a liquid protection barrier designed for upholstery usage and much more.

This backing offers a range of impressive characteristics such as; excellent wear and tear, puncture resistance and good environmental durability to chemicals and bacteria suitable for the textile and medical industry.
​
This backing is often the designer’s preferred material because it offers outstanding design flexibility with its range and combination of useful properties, safety approvals and recyclability.
This waterproof barrier for upholstery must be used in conjunction with a schedule 3 interliner or fabric FR Backcoated before lamination.*Face fabric must be FR Treated before sending for backing service for commerical usage.
