PU28 FIRE BARRIER

PU28 is a fire barrier which provides up to 90 minutes flame protection which is non- flammable and made from glass fabric PU coated material.

This is a flexible alternative to using a traditional rigid fire board and we offer a unique method of laminating this fire barrier to the back of your fabric, which meets and exceeds the safety fire regulations required for interior wallcoverings BS 476 Pt 6 & 7: Class 0 and 1.

PU28 provides passive fire protection with a high temperature treated glass fabric coating on both sides and a flame retardant polymer. This is enhanced with mineral salts and vermiculite to increase performance of fire resistance and the PU coating suppresses any irritant dusts.

This fire barrier backing offers flexibility even after lamination which makes it easy to install on beams in ceilings or walls and can be fixed over joists or on the wall surfaces for decorative finishes.

Where do you use this?

PU28 is suitable for a range of applications including large building developments, timber framed constructions and smaller installations such as thatched roofs, partition walls, loft conversions or anywhere where building regulations specify a fire barrier.
