ANTI PENETRATION 
FR BACKING

Anti-Penetration FR backing is a wide mesh material used to reinforce and stabilise fabrics such as leathers. This mesh is fused to the back of materials aimed for the automotive industry for upholstery which has a high tensile strength to prevent sharp objects piercing through the fabric easily.

This stabilisation layer has fire retardant properties passing for usage in automotive interiors standard FMVSS 302.

​

This anti penetration FR backing must be used in conjunction with a schedule 3 interliner or fabric must be FR back coated before lamination if using for upholstery purposes.*Face fabric must be FR Treated before sending for backing service for commercial usage.​
